Millenials of 25 years old and more …. BLINK 182 is coming to the Quebec CIty Summer Festival on July 14, 2019 to close the 2019 FEQ edition with The Offspring!
If you are between 25 and 35, it makes no sense that you do not know Blink-182! Whether you love them or hate them, Blink remains an emblem of the 2000s. Personally they marked my teenage years. I remember like yesterday listening to Music Plus and see their last video clip for the first t, What’s My Age Again and 3 guys running naked on the streets of Los Angeles. Several other hits such as Dammit, I Miss You, All the Small Things, Adam’s Song, Fist Date and so on … The list is endless for nostalgic like me!
For those who do not know them, Blink-182 is a punk band that brought a breath of fresh air in the early 2000s in the field of music. Very popular with young people at the time, they made the charts with other groups such as Sum 41, GreenDay and Linkin Park. Composed of 3 musicians, Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and the well-known Travis Barker, this band has opened the door to the expression of a whole generation.
Tom DeLonge has since been replaced by Matt Skiba, singer and guitarist. Tom DeLonge is actually involved in a big personal project in search of extraterrestrials, involving significant friction between Travis Barker and him. Following its reformation in 2009, Blink-182 decided to continue without the founding member of the group.
Travis Barker, a well-known percussionist, made headlines for a number of reasons, including surviving a plane crash in which 4 people unfortunately died. Travis is certainly the first drummer to become a superstar in history thanks to his incredible talent and his amazing personality!
In 2018, Blink-182 concluded its California Tour and has several schedule shows at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Blink is currently working on a new album, Simple Creatures, one of which has already been released in January 2019: Drug.
In the first part of the Blink-182 show at the Quebec City Summer Festival on July 14, The Offspring will kick off the party. This American rock band is well known for reviving punk rock in the 1990s and has many successes on their record. Among others, Pretty Fly, Gone Away, Self Esteem, The Kids Are Not Alright and All I Want are must! The evening will be incredible and all punk July 14 on the Plains of Abraham of Quebec City.
I could not have chosen better bands to close the FEQ 2019 on a grand scale. With Blink-182 and The Offspring at the Quebec City Summer Festival, it’s a nostalgic party guaranteed.
