After 16 months of work and 52 million investments, the new amusement park of the Galeries de la Capitale, the Mega Parc, has reopened and here is why it is worth a visit!
1. For its Steampunk ambiance
The new Mega Parc has completely changed its look, it is now a cool and fun Steampunk atmosphere that prevails. Just take a look at the Zenith Ferris wheel to see (the largest wheel without radius in North America). This change of atmosphere makes the Mega Parc amusement park attract a wider range of people. Indeed, the former Mega Parc was mostly frequented by families. If this is still the case today, you will also meet many teenagers or young adults in search of adrenaline. In short, the new Mega Parc amusement park of the Galeries de la Capitale is a work of art!
2. To eat at the Victoria cheese factory
The well-known chain from Victoriaville finally opens its first restaurant in Quebec City and has chosen to move to the Mega Parc. The menu consists of burgers, sandwiches and of course their famous and delicious poutine whose fame for it fresh and decadent cheese curds!
3. There are no less than 18 attractions!

4. For the ice rink
The new rink is simply amazing! It is the longest indoor skating trail in North America with its 750 feet long. Whether you are an experienced skater or beginner, you can practice safely and protected from the weather. They even rent skates if you don’t have any or just don’t want to bring them with you.
5. For his carousel
The Italian carousel has been present at the Mega Parc amusement park of the Galeries de la Capitale for more than 30 years. Recently, it has been totally restored along with multiple attractions in order to fit with the new Steampunk style of park. The horses are now black with a copper hue, having a very chic a modern vibe. What’s really amazing is the feeling of being at an outdoor funfair in the evening when you’re right next door to an entire shopping center.
