This year, Easter falls on Sunday April 21, 2019 and is synonymous with long weekend for many. Here are 10 ideas for activities to do during this 3-day weekend.
1- Laurier Quebec and Galerie de la Capitale Shopping Malls
Every year, both these shopping malls offer a variety of activities (most of the time free) for young families to enjoy over the long Easter week-end. Among these activities: photo zone, children’s makeup, egg hunting path, and much more depending which shopping mall you go to.
2- The Bora Park
If Valcartier slides are closed for this winter, the Bora Parc will be open to welcome you in a tropical atmosphere where swimming pools and water slides will please the whole family.
3- Spring Skiing
For skiers who want to enjoy the last snows before storing their skis, some ski slopes, especially at Mont Sainte-Anne, will still be accessible for spring skiing. Take advantage of this long weekend to slide one last time in a soft and melting snow.
4-A hike
In April, temperatures are warm and nature is gradually regaining its rights. It is an opportunity to go out on the hiking trails around Quebec City with the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier, the Montmorency Forest or the Cap-Tourmente which welcomes the geese returning from the south.
